“ Very relaxing cafe with friendly staff and yummy dishes. I got the egg silsi with the chehebsa. I recommend this combination as the bread served with the silsi is plain. The spices of the chehebsa with the silsi is very flavorful and made the meal a 10/10. I did not try my usual Ethiopian restaurant order which is awaze tibs and sambusa but I will try that the next time I come and I am excited to see how theirs compares to restaurants in the northern va area. ”
“ Finally was able to come out here and it blew my mind. Seriously the depths of flavor and spices that compliment one in other in all we ate was everything!! It all tasted so fresh. When we took our first bites it was like we heard music, just really transports you to another place. Simply put they make damn good food here! The place is cute, has a place in the back to rent event space, cute bathroom, and outlets with USB ports. It is homey, the owner and staff were so welcoming. Just beyond amazing service. The dedication and care comes through. I will be dreaming about the baklava alone, it is a favorite pastry of mine and this was the best I've ever had in Richmond. Do yourself a solid, get it together, and come here. Also the prices are worth it! Can't beat this quality. ”
“ Everything is 10/10! The energy is very soothing and beautiful! The cinnamon brown sugar latte is so gooood! I came yesterday and the owner was very sweet and patiently explained everything I asked about the menu. I came back today to tried the food and it didn’t disappoint! Also Brianna is a sweetheart. ”
“ Nice and pleasant place with real good espresso. Baklava and Napoleon cakes are fresh and tasty. The service is excellent. ”
“ In town for the holidays and I was thrilled to find Ethiopian breakfast! The latte was perfect, and I loved everything I tried. The breakfast combo was delicious, the tomato salad a nice spice level. I'd absolutely go back! ”
“ After a medical appointment downtown, I walked to try their breakfast. Blown away! Such a pleasant environment with service to match. Got the breakfast combo which touched all the savory notes of a good breakfast. Spice, not too hot and flavors that excited. The eggs alone will bring me back ...and I’ll bring a friend! ”
“ Awaze tibs were delicious! 9/10 Sambusas were okay 7/10 Baklava was yummy 9/10 Latte was good/decent 8/10 ”
“ Came to this coffee shop for the first time with my family, including my 1-year-old. The food and coffee was great and I lived in Ethiopia for 2 years so not just saying that! The best part was how kind the ladies were to my little guy, tried the best I could to keep him out of trouble but toddlers are wild sometimes but they were so silly and sweet with him and made him and us feel welcome :) Will definitely come back when we are in the area! ”
